TEDMED Talk: The link between climate change, health and poverty

About This Talk

Over the last 5-7 years, Clinician for Climate Action Cheryl Holder has noticed the rise of a different epidemic among vulnerable and low-resource populations. She is witnessing first hand the impact of climate change on the health of her Florida patients and advocates for comprehensive medical prevention and care strategies to address inequities. Cheryl is convinced that by providing a model of medicine that incorporates economic and social justice, clinicians can help prepare their patients for the climate-related health challenges they will face.
