Cecilia Sorensen

Cecilia Sorensen, MD is the 2017 Living Closer Foundation Fellow in Climate and Health Science Policy – a collaborative post-graduate training program through the University of Colorado, National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health. She attended Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine. She is currently a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Academic and research interests include the effects of climate change on human health, global environmental health and strategies for building resilience in vulnerable communities through health education and policy.
