June 11 Webinar: Climate Change and Resiliency in the Great Lakes
Friday June 11, 2021 | 12:00 PM EDT
Join the Northeast-Midwest Institute (NEMWI) for a webinar on climate change and resiliency in the Great Lakes region.
Climate change is causing significant and far-reaching impacts on the Great Lakes region. In recent years, the planet has experienced some of the warmest temperatures ever recorded, record-breaking weather extremes, powerful storms, and tragic flooding from rising water levels. The accelerating pattern of changes in the earth’s climate is adversely impacting the Great Lakes. The webinar will focus on both the role that climate change is playing on the Great Lakes and on local and state efforts to build resiliency throughout the region.
Participating organizations will include:
- The Environmental Law & Policy Center
- The Great Lakes Commission
- The Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Cities Initiative
