Idaho Clinicians for Climate and Health and St. Luke’s have partnered again this year on a six-part lecture series focusing on climate change and its impacts on human health. Sessions will include a range of topics focused on specific health harms of aspects of climate change, how we in health care are contributing to the problem of climate change, and looking for solutions for our patients and our community, towards mitigating the already present health effects and reversing the course of the changing climate going forward.
Climate change, mild winters, early springs, and new habitats are giving insects more time to reproduce, more interactions with humans/animals and more opportunities to spread diseases throughout the United States.
