ACPS Vol. VII: Student Climate Strikes Raise Awareness, Understanding, Emotions
In November 2019, ecoAmerica measured the success of recent youth climate strikes, summarized in their latest report titled, ACPS Vol. VII: Student Climate Strikes Raise Awareness, Understanding, Emotions. The data applies two metrics for success: public awareness and adults’ emotional response to their efforts, both are making headway! A few findings include:
- 79% of Adult Americans say they understand what youth are striking for
- In just a year of progress, 62% already say they have heard of Greta or the youth-led climate protests
- And, a majority of Americans report having an emotional response to youth efforts:
